Cheyenna Hunt is a Cree and Dene woman belonging to the English River First Nation (ERFN), located in Northern Saskatchewan. Cheyenna is the Director of Lands & Consultation for ERFN. This position has allowed her to work with Government; resource industry proponents; and regulatory bodies on issues arising from the use and occupation of ERFN Ancestral Territory. Cheyenna's work meets her Nation's goal of protecting the culture of ERFN by protecting their Ancestral lands.

Cheyenna obtained both her B.A in Indigenous Studies/Anthropology and her Law Degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Cheyenna enjoyed a 10-year career in civil litigation and administrative law before she moved on to her current position with her Nation of ERFN.

In her current role, Cheyenna has had the pleasure of advising and working with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, the Canada Energy Regulator, NRCan, the Province of Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, and the Federal Department of Justice with regard to the Duty to Consult and Accommodate with Indigenous Nations. Cheyenna and her husband Jon are the proud parents of 5 children, 4 cats, and 3 dogs.
