Chief Tammy Cook-Searson is Chief of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and President of Kitsaki Management Limited Partnership, leading the Band’s economic development efforts. She made history in 2005 as the first woman elected chief and brings over 25 years of leadership experience in northern Saskatchewan. Tammy serves on Cameco’s board and holds a graduate diploma in management, honorary degrees, and is completing her MBA at Athabasca University. Her work has earned numerous accolades, including the Indigenous Women in Leadership Award in 2021. She is dedicated to Indigenous advocacy, social solutions, and community development through her roles on several regional and national boards.
