Mark Podlasly, of the Nlaka’pamux Nation, is Chief Sustainability Officer at the First Nations Major Projects Coalition, advocating for Indigenous values in major projects. He serves on the boards of CIBC and Hydro One and manages his Nation’s mining trust fund. With global experience in energy, resource development, and infrastructure projects, he has worked with leading corporations like GE and Goldman Sachs. A Harvard graduate, Mark received the Meritorious Service Medal for founding Teach for Canada, which supports teachers in northern First Nations. He is also a recognised voice on ESG, climate change, and economic reconciliation.
