Ted Williams is a member of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, he is a proud husband of 47 years and father of two, and currently serving as Chief of his community. Ted acknowledges that growing up on a reservation was difficult in many ways but that never deterred him from his aspirations of becoming a leader. At 25, Ted began his first term as a council member and by 29 became the youngest elected Chief of Rama First Nation. He has also held a successful career in real estate, has been a past appointed member of the Ontario Parole Board, and was part of the successful development of the Casino, where he was appointed chairperson and later, Vice-President of Corporate Affairs.
Ted has also spent many years as a consultant, guest speaker, artist, and retail business partner through his entrepreneurial ventures. He is passionate about golf, and his personal areas of interest include sales, strategic planning, economic development, leadership, and personal growth. Ted aims to share his experience, knowledge and skills with those both in and out of the community.
